I am Chef Spencer Reddick Jr, owner of Suspenceful Flavors Catering LLC. My vision of owning a catering business manifested about 15 years ago, as I have always had a passion for cooking. After a failed attempt, I became discouraged with the idea and just continued working in restaurants and private clubs in the Savannah Georgia area. I served in the Georgia Air National Guard for 6 years in the food service department, where I prepared meals for over 200+ soldiers. I obtained my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Savannah Technical College. My love for food began with me watching my maternal grandparents, who resided in Savannah Georgia. My grandmother taught me how to prepare various Southern seafood cuisines and how to make recipes from scratch. One of my favorite recipes is her raisin bran muffins. My paternal side of the family is from Greenville, Florida. My grandfather taught me how to prepare country-cooking…the kind of food that people say “it’ll put some meat on your bones”. One of my favorite recipes from him is his fried okra with onions and bacon.
In 2016, I met the young lady (Demetris) who later became my wife. She pushed me to pursue my passion and dream of owning my own catering business. Part of me had given up but with her motivation and belief in me, I pursued my dream again. And over the years Suspenseful Flavors Catering has flourished locally and in other states.
